  • The Next BRIT thing final at the Indigo2 was a spectacular event. We saw 13 unbelievable performances, each of them a winner!

Our judges had a tough decision, and the winners are...

    General

    PAUL SHEVLIN
Belfast's Paul Shevlin wowed the crowd with his effortless piano skills and instantly catchy melodies. Paul will now get to record at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, and as he's a big Beatles fan he's pretty chuffed with this!

Second place in the General category was E Whizz & Airbourne and third place was Laura Doggett. Well done to them and everyone who performed!

    Classical

    SARAH GARDNER
16 year old Sarah gave a stunning performance on the piano, the whole room was silent as she lost herself in the moment. Sarah will now perform at the Royal Albert Hall as part of Classic FM's birthday celebrations.

Second place was Louisa Haggerty and third place was Paul Botje. Well done to everyone in the Classical category!

    PRS FOR MUSIC SONGWRITING AWARD
The Floodliners won the PRS For Music Songwriting Award for their song Freeze. Well done them! They will now get a a recording session at Strongroom Studios.

Big thanks to our judges - McFly, Laura Wright, Noah Stewart and Mike Smith, and extra thanks to Mojo & Max from the Choice FM Breakfast Show for being such excellent comperes.
